The EIC is Europe’s flagship innovation programme to identify, develop and scale up breakthrough technologies and game changing innovations. 

The European Commission adopted the 2023 work programme of the European Innovation Council. It opens funding opportunities worth over €1.6 billion in 2023 for breakthrough innovators to scale up and create new markets.

EIC Pathfinder (€343 million) for multi-disciplinary research teams to undertake visionary research with the potential to lead to technology breakthroughs. A specific challenge topic called Responsible Electronics is relevan for LOPEC community. Other instruments like Transition projects to scale-up from TRL3-4 to TRL6 or Accelerator for the start-ups together with all the Business Accelerator Services will be explained.
