Vortragsbeschreibung

Organic coatings can now be grafted directly to surfaces in a simpler way using MPG's molecular atmospheric plasma coating.  Examples of more than 50 functionalities include improved Adhesion for encapsulation, binding to difficult polymers (e.g. fluorinated films), or solvent-free priming of glass and metals. It can also be used for improved metallization by grafting of compatible amino layers, or enabling permanently improved printability. Bioactive molecules can be immobilized for advanced organic sensors and diagnostic devices. Sustainable water repellency can be done without use of PFAS, and UV protection additives can applied to surfaces.
MPG machines work as continuous roll coating process at ambient temperature for sensitive chemistry, using separate flows of chemistry and indirect DBD plasma for better control and low maintenance. It is adaptable for films, metals, textiles, contours, etc. Specific applications in electronics are still confidential.
