Biografie
Dr Herbert Gold is a Senior Scientist at MATERIALS, the Institute for Surface Technologies and Photonics at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH (JR) in Weiz, Austria. He works mainly on process development of patterning methods in organic electronics, nanoimprint lithography (NIL) and ferroelectric sensing. Design and tooling for NIL led to cross-domain work designing patterning tools such as NIL-stamps, photo and shadow masks. With a background in experimental physics and subsequent PhD in materials science (University of Leoben, 1999), Herbert Gold has worked for Philips in Lebring (Austria, from 2000) and LG.Philips displays in Durham (UK, until 2004) as a development engineer for CRT displays. Since 2004 at JR in the team of Dr. Barbara Stadlober (research group "Hybrid Electronics and Structuring"), Herbert Gold has worked on and managed large EU and nationally funded, as well as privately contracted projects.
