Dr. Tutku Beduk Ashirova
Scientist at Silicon Austria Labs (SAL)
Tutku has got her PhD degree from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia in March 2022. Her PhD work focused on laser-scribed graphene (LSG) based electrochemical sensor integrated to a custom-made, wireless potentiostat with a smartphone app for health monitoring applications. She has successfully developed a smatphone based point of care system for the early diagnosis of breast cancer, cardiovascular disease and COVID-19 diagnosis including variant detection. In addition, She has also worked on environmental applications of LSGs, namely BPA sensing in real water samples. Currently she has been working as a scientist in Silicon Austria Labs (SAL), which is a European research center for electronic based systems linking science and industry, to create the basis for new types of products and processes.
