Organic bioelectronics using water-gated OFETs will be discussed. We use charged peptides to switch the surface from non-bonding (OFF) to binding (ON) conformation by applying a voltage to the electrode surface. The same peptides can also be used as the gate-electrode in ultra-sensitive water-gated OFET based sensors to measure ligand-receptor interactions. Stability of the devices will also be discussed.
