Scalable printing of anisotropic magnetoresistive sensors on flexible substrates

A scalable technological approach for preparing printed flexible anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensors is presented. The pastes based on 100 nm thick permalloy flakes were formulated and screen printed on flexible polymer foils. After post-processing including high-power diode laser array treatment, the sensors showed a very promising AMR effect in the range of 0.5% at magnetic fields of 2-3 mT.
