With 25% of manufacturing processes performed through manual work, limiting AR to the eyesight excludes a crucial faculty: the sense of touch. This presentation will establish the role of haptics in complementing data visualization and processing, and demonstrate how a sensor-powered tactile wearable closes the gap between the human sense of touch and next-generation manufacturing AR user interfaces.
