Biography
Mahmoud Ameen is the manager of the “Thin Films for Energy” program at TNO-Holst Centre. He obtained a BSc. in chemistry and physics from Assiut University, Egypt (2006). He received his MSc. (2012) and PhD (2017) degrees in materials science from Alexandria University (Egypt). He did his PhD research on the atomic layer deposition of high-k materials for CMOS transistor at imec (Belgium), under scholarship grant from the KACST-Intel consortium centre of excellence in Nano-manufacturing applications (CENA) with the collaboration between KACST, Intel, Leuven University, Alexandria University, and imec. His current research interests focus on the developments of 3D nanostructured materials and coatings for Li ion batteries and water electrolysis.
