Mission and objectives

Function, form and technology are critical to every design. The technology of printed electronics opens new dimensions in product design. LOPEC makes these new dimensions tangible and wants to accelerate the transfer of know-how.

The goal of the workshop is twofold. The first is to introduce printed electronics (PE) to designers, and the second is to bring the PE and design communities together. The goal is also to increase designers' awareness and understanding of PE, while increasing the PE community's knowledge of design requirements.

The target audience are designers in the fields of automotive, healthcare, wearables, interactive products, consumer electronics, fashion, textiles, interior design and other consumer products.

Gold Sponsor

Designing with flexible hybrid electronics & e-textiles.

The first Design@LOPEC workshop served as a multidisciplinary platform where technology meets creativity. By inviting product and fashion designers, LOPEC explored new applications of printed electronics in wearable technology, smart fabrics and innovative product design.

In 2025, twelve participants from eight different countries took advantage of the five-hour workshop. The workshop included sponsor presentations, technology discussions, trend and idea development, hands-on e-textile activities, and group project development.
The workshop results were displayed in the LOPEC Innovation Showcase for all exhibition visitors.

It was a great opportunity to interact with both participants and organizers, exchanging ideas and perspectives. The discussions were engaging, and I enjoyed exploring different approaches to workshop planning. Overall, the session was both informative and interactive. Thank you for your efforts in organizing it and for creating an engaging environment for learning and discussion.
