LOPEC takes place in ICM – Internationales Congress Center München. Whether you travel to the fair with public transportation or by plane, train or automobile: LOPEC is always quick and easy to reach.

By public transportation
The U2 subway line, station “Messestadt West” gives you direct access to the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München. From Munich Central Station, you can reach the exhibition center in about 20 minutes without changing trains. Tickets can be purchased from Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG), Münchner Verkehrsverbund (MVV) and Deutsche Bahn (DB) (tariff zone M).

Trade-fair participants can also take the suburban train (S-Bahn) coming from Munich (city center) or Erding:
- Take the S-Bahn line 2 and step out in Riem,
- change to bus line 190 headed to Messestadt Ost,
- then finally step out at the bus stop Am Messesee for Entrance West.
By car
The Messe München fairgrounds are located directly next to the A94 freeway. Signage on the freeway will guide you to the appropriate Messe München parking areas, where a dynamic traffic control system regulates the traffic flow. It will direct you to the nearest available parking spaces during the event.
Parking spaces & Parking fees
Marked parking spaces are available for visitors. Parking costs 15 euros/day in the outdoor car park and 21 euros/day in the multi-storey car park.
The e-charging concept at Messe München features more than 80 charging stations and one supercharger.
- Parkhaus West parking garage charging stations: only accessible when the parking garage is open for an event. The charging units are located on level U1.
- Charging is generally free, although parking fees in the parking garage must be paid.
- A card with an RFID chip is needed to access the charging station. These chips are often built into hotel cards, time logging cards and EC cards.
- The charging stations cannot be reserved in advance.
By train
From almost anywhere in Europe you can travel comfortably, safely and in an environmentally friendly manner by train to Munich Central Station. From here, it takes about 20 minutes to reach the trade-fair center by taking the U2 subway line headed to Messestadt West. If you prefer to travel by rental car or taxi, please add at least 25 minutes to your journey time.

By plane
Messe München is located 42 kilometers south of Munich Airport. Shuttle buses, public transport and taxis take you directly to the exhibition center.

The suburban train (S-Bahn) station for the lines S1 and S8 is located directly below the central area of the Munich Airport. Trains depart every 10 minutes for the city center. Depending on the route you choose, the ride takes between 45 and 60 minutes.
The ICM – International Congress Center Messe München is directly connected to the subway stop Messestadt West on the U2 line. From the main train station, you can reach the fairgrounds in about 20 minutes without changing trains.

A one-way ride to the trade-fair center costs between EUR 80 and EUR 100 and takes about 35 minutes.
Taxis at the airport are available directly in front of the airport’s terminals—at Messe München, you will find them in front of all entrances open for the respective trade show.
Other travel options
Separate parking areas are available for coaches, from which the exhibition center can be reached in just a few minutes on foot.
Free bus stops are available for shuttle buses with a maximum waiting time of 30 minutes.

For arriving at and departing from the exhibition grounds by taxi, designated zones are available in front of the entrances, which can be found on the site map on the respective event website.

How to book:
Simply open the app and book your ride. You can be picked up or dropped off at one of the designated zones.
In the context of sustainability, it is also possible to get to the trade fair by electric scooter. No-go zones are set up in and around the exhibition grounds, meaning they cannot be parked here. Accordingly, please park electric scooters in the secure spaces intended for them.
If you travel to the trade fair by bicycle, please use the bicycle stands in front of the East and West Entrances. You can lock up your bicycle there and reach the entrances that are open in just a few minutes on foot. The bicycle stands are open to the public and are not monitored.
Locking up bicycles on the perimeter fence of the exhibition grounds is prohibited. If necessary, they will be removed for a fee.
In Willi-Brandt-Allee, six exclusive car sharing parking spaces have been set up by the Mobility Department of the City of Munich. The providers ShareNow and Sixt Share are currently available in Messestadt. All car sharing vehicles that are identified as such by a vignette on the windshield are allowed to park in the parking spaces ( see also our FAQs). The parking spaces are clearly recognizable by the official sign and the green marking on the ground.
